Continue to blot until no more liquid is transferred onto the cloth. One tablespoon of of dish soap white vinegar warm water a microfibre cloth and a sponge. This will just move the liquid around and increase the surface area of the stain. Use your cloth and begin to blot the area to bring up the stain.

Blot the stain as much as you can with a damp cloth. Rinse the affected area with cold water. If the tea stain is still visible mix a bit of white vinegar with a bit of water and apply it directly onto stain using a sponge or dishcloth. Allow this to sit on the tea stain for 5 to 10 minutes.

Mix a solution of 1 tablespoon of dish soap distilled white vinegar and 2 cups of lukewarm water. The tea stain should no longer be visible. If possible flush the stain from the wrong side by holding the stain under a faucet of cold running water. Allow the vinegar solution to sit for at least an hour possibly more.

Using store bought solutions are a big help when attempting to remove tea stains on carpet.
